SWAPPCON 2025

The Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines (SWAPP), Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit association established in May 2000 with members from national government agencies, local government units (LGUs), institutional organizations, professionals, academe, students and solid waste management (SWM) practitioners who are committed to the proper management of solid waste for a sustainable environment. Currently, SWAPP is selected as one of the 3 NGO members of the National Solid Waste Management Commission (NSWMC).

Every year, SWAPP members are strongly reaffirming its dedication to promote SWM advocacies wherein its major activity is the annual conference (SWAPPCon), which is usually held in any of the cities in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The annual ‘SWAPPCons’ are usually participated in by representatives of Local & Provincial Government Units (L/PGUs), NGAs, private sector, NGOs, academe and SWM practitioners. Last year, the conference was held in DAP, Tagaytay City Province of Cavite.

Once again, SWAPPCon 2025 will be held on November 20 and 21, 2025 at the Alona JPark Island Resort-Hotel, Panglao, Province of Bohol and we would like to invite everyone to join and be with us. Please find our tentative Program for your ready reference. This year, the Theme is “EPR and Disaster Waste Management in the Context of Circular Economy”.
